As Fellow Entrepreneurs We Salute You!
Growing a business is one of life’s greatest challenges. We know because we are entrepreneurs first and investors second.
Many of our high net worth investors are business owners themselves so they will empathise with both the opportunities open to you and the challenge in scaling to meet them.
Some Case Studies
What We Look For
We are sector agnostic private equity growth investors. We focus on established businesses that are ready to achieve significant scale.
Typically they will tick these boxes:
- Established for 3-5 years
- At least two sets of filed accounts
- A strong management team
- A proven business model with imminent break-even moving to profitability
- Founders and management hold most of the equity
- Preferably EIS qualifying if UK based
We don’t do start-ups so please only get in touch if you meet our criteria.
What We Offer
We have spent over a decade building a membership of more than 700 high net worth investors in 37 countries.
They are a discerning, demanding group who have learned to trust us in bringing them interesting new opportunities in which they are ready to invest anything from £50,000 to £1 million. We jealously guard that trust before bringing new companies into the Beaufort portfolio.
If your company passes our due diligence criteria, we will put the opportunity in front of our members. That process involves crafting and recording a launch broadcast, creating a data room then managing scores of 1:1 conversations from initial enquiry through to completed paperwork.
You will be an integral part of the process but it’s one that we manage from end to end. You inherit the trust that we have built over the years with the result that the fund raising process can be accelerated.
- Our sweet spot is raising £1-3 million, typically in a 3 to 6 month period.
- We only accept a handful of companies into our portfolio at any time.
- Given the depth and breadth of service we provide, we are reassuringly expensive.
- We want to go on the journey with our members so we will take a proportion of our fees as equity on the same terms that are offered to them.
